| Over the past week:
The Simpsons Movie: 9/10. freaking. hilarious. I don't remember the last time I laughed so hard throughout a whole movie. I actually saw this one twice and it was amazing. seriously, VERY well done. SOOOO many good quotes from there...
Hairspray (new one): 9/10. SOOOOOO good. didn't realy think I would like it, but I totally did. Catchy songs, great actors, James Marsden , and Amanda Bynes is pretty much my hero so that was good too. also a good one to quote.
Joan of Arcadia (TV show): 9/10. veeerrrrry good. really shows the wonders of God and at the same time has hilarious bits and pieces. More, please!!!
The Hot Chick: 8/10. Oh my gosh. I'd forgotten how much i loved this movie. It's one of those movies where you reaaaallly think you're going to hate it but once you start watching it just gets more and more funny. about a billion good quotes in this one.
Simon Birch:9.5/10. This is one of the most emotional movies i've ever seen. I was crying and laughing at the sme time (i hadn't seen it since I was about 7 so it meant a lot more to me now than it did then) but yeah. fabulous. And the cinematography is brilliant, especially the baseball scene. watch it and you'll know what i'm talking about.
Little Manhattan: 8/10. AMAZING beginning, AMAZING middle, what-the-crap-was-that ending. One of the cutest movies i've ever seen in my life (a perfect 10/10) up until the end. and then it's just like....are you SURE it should end this way? Seriously, up until the last seconds of the movie I was convinced that a surprise ending would pop out of nowhere. DEFINITELY did not end the way i wanted it to. at ALL. but other than that it was really really really great so 8/10 is still what it deserves.
wow i've watched a lot this week.

| I just had some pics to share. So the ONE downside to a big room? it can get messy preeetty easily:
...yeah. I swear i'm not a slob normally, i just haven't had ANY time to clean because of how busy i've been. I mean, up until today i had driver's ed for EIGHT AND A HALF HOURS every day mon-thurs. I was so bored that I did these:
-that was wednesday.
-and that was thursday.
i'm actually kinda proud of them, even though it shows just how bored i can get...
so how's everyone else's life going?

| hello first entry in forever:
so, i know this is awkward timing...maybe, i dunno. Maybe it's not. I mean, we did just get back and honestly I feel like I didn't get as much out of the trip as i could have. hmm..devil, is this you?
some weird stuff has been happening. Some freaky stuff, actually. First of all, let me start off with a little story: there's this girl that was in my cabin 4th session at camp (the last 2 weeks i was there) and on the 23rd of July (my birthday, when we were still at camp and all..), she was wakeboarding on the lake and had a really really bad fall. She passed out, and lost her memory of the past 3 days entirely. She was in sort of off-and-on good conditions for the rest of the week, but towards the end she pretty much had totally healed. Anyway, that cabin has a message board on Facebook that we all keep up with becaue we promised eachother we'd stay in touch (we're all REALLY good friends) so everyone's been writing on it to eachother- one girl just passed her permit test, another got a singing position with a pretty elite choir, that sort of stuff. But this girl hadn't been on in the whole 2 weeks we'd been home. Infact, I had sent her a friend request the night before leaving for TJ and she hadn't accepted it until yesterday. I mean, I didn't really think anything of it but then she posted on the board about something that had happened to her. Apparently, she was at someone's Lake House for the past week and while she was there she had fallen off the speed boat, been stranded in the water, and then, when the boat came back to get her, nearly killed by the motor as it destroyed her leg. she won't fully recover until January, and she can't play field hockey at all this year which she loves.
so that's story number one.
story number two is much shorter, but still pretty intense: you know that bridge that fell? Another friend of mine from camp was driving less than a mile away from it (headed for it, actually) when it happened.
story number three isn't really a story, but it sucks: I have a good friend who is laving for her first year of college on Thursday and basically getting no support from anyone. There's a bunch of stuff with disrespect and rejection going on and it's bumming me out jsut thinking about it because she is tha last person who deserves it, especially in such a time of transition in her life.
this is just weird stuff. I dunno what to think about it. | | |
